Post Separation & Co Parenting
Separation and divorce is becoming more prevalent across our modern society.
We offer accredited child inclusive Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) and Parenting Orders Programs (POP). We aim to reduce the level of acrimony that can occur as post separation conflict.
Separation signifies the ending of what was once a mutually beneficial partnership. As such it can be an emotionally upsetting experience for everyone involved. It is a tumultuous time of change and with that comes stress that is often not within your control.
It is important for you and your children that you have support to help you through this difficult time and that their wishes and best interests are upheld.
When you separate, you and your former partner need to make important decisions about the future care of your children and how to divide your property, money and belongings, which were once shared.
Working through these issues is often difficult, full of conflict, emotional challenge which can lead to despair.
Separation can be a particularly stressful transition for your child/ren. They may experience a range of emotions that are difficult for them to deal with and talk about with you. They may also behave in ways that are unusual for them.
Co-parenting is a way where the separated parents can come together on issues relating to the parenting, raising, discipline and growth of a child/ren as a result of there now being two houses in which the child/ren goes between. We are able to support your discussions through this as well as provide support for step and blended family situations.
It may be beneficial for us to work with YOU and/or your previous partner through the problems that arise post separation; YOU and your children adjust to separation or divorce and appropriately transition to them living between two homes; YOU and your former partner reach an agreement around property and/or the best wishes for the children or for YOU and your family to adjust through mediation (FDR).
